BotuBov Freezing

Freezing procedure
1. Evaluate ejaculate volume, total motility, and sperm concentration.
2. Calculate the extender volume to target 30 million viable sperm per straw (or 60 million viable sperm per mL).
3. Add the calculated volume of BotuBov to the semen and fill the straws.
4. Refrigerate the filled straws at 5°C (41°F) for 4 hours.
5. Freeze the straws in nitrogen vapor in a Styrofoam box, 3 cm above the liquid nitrogen level, for 20 minutes, then immerse and store in liquid nitrogen.

Thawing
Thaw at 37°C (98.6°F) for 30 seconds or 46°C (114.8°F) for 20 seconds.

Contents
1 × 100 mL bottle.

Storage and Handling
Store frozen at −20°C (−4°F). After thawing, keep refrigerated at 5°C (41°F) for up to 2 days.

Composition
Sugars, antioxidants, amino acids, egg yolk, and glycerol.
